Overview
To change the default weight of a product when this stock comes into the system, this article will provide you with the steps on how to achieve this.
How to change the default weight of a product
Follow the steps below:
Go to the Setup tab at the top of Delta.
Click Product Details, then click Maintain Products.
Open the product.
On the main screen, edit the Weight per Item field to the new figure.
Press OK to save.
📌Note: The ‘Weight’ field on the product will only change weights for any new stock coming in; it will not change the weight for any current stock in the system.
🤓Tip: For any current stock, if these weights need to be amended, the stock will need to be negatively adjusted out of the system, then brought back in, and this will then pick up the new weight.
There is no default item weight; it is just a decimal value, so this can be anything as long as the same measure, such as Kilograms or grams, is used throughout the whole system.
Weight per item can be anything from 0 to 9999.99999
