Overview

If you see the error 'The specified password does not meet the password policy complexity defined' when resetting your DeltaWMS cloud-hosted password, your new password doesn't meet the required security rules.

This error appears when your password:

  • Doesn't contain enough characters.

  • It isn't complex enough.

  • Doesn't contain the required character types.

  • Has been used previously.

  • Contains disallowed words.

Reset your password

To successfully reset your password, follow these steps:

  1. Review all password rules displayed on the change password screen.

  2. Create a new password that meets all the requirements shown.

  3. Leave the Old Password field blank.

  4. Enter your new password in the New Password field.

  5. Re-enter your new password in the Confirm Password field.

  6. Click Submit.

Your password is now reset.

πŸ€“Tip: If your chosen password still doesn't work, try creating a completely different password that you've never used before. This helps identify if your original password broke a rule that wasn't obvious.

⚠️Important: Filling in the Old Password field can sometimes prevent your password from resetting if the entered value doesn't match the system's record.
