Overview

The QI Check setting in Setup > Product Details controls whether supplier-level hold settings can override your product-level automatic hold configuration during goods-in. This article explains how the QI Check interacts with hold settings.

Understanding QI Check behaviour

The QI Check setting has no effect on the RF device, and QI Check Notes don't display anywhere in DeltaWMS. The setting only affects how automatic holds are applied during goods-in.

How automatic holds work without QI Check

When you use the Hold and AutoHold settings without QI Check, the system always places stock on hold automatically. The hold reference is based on the GI (goods-in) number.

You can set a default hold reference in the Hold Ref field to the right of these settings.

How QI Check enables supplier overrides

Switching on QI Check allows supplier settings to override your product-level hold configuration.

All three settings enabled (Hold, AutoHold and QI Check)

When you enable all three settings in the Product screen, the system behaviour depends on your Supplier Maintenance screen configuration:

Supplier set to override and AutoHold

The system uses the hold settings and hold reference from the Supplier Maintenance screen, not the Product screen.

Supplier set to override but not AutoHold

The stock isn't placed on hold. The system uses the configuration from the Supplier Maintenance screen and ignores the Product screen settings.

Supplier set to not override

The stock is placed on hold automatically. The hold reference is based on the GI number.

πŸ“ŒNote: The QI Check setting enables the Supplier Maintenance screen to override product-level automatic hold settings when stock is booked in.
