Overview

The 'Ignore Order Quantities on Replen?' setting controls how DeltaWMS creates replenishment tasks when pick face stock levels drop. Understanding this setting helps you manage stock replenishment effectively based on your operational needs.

How the setting works

When 'Ignore Order Quantities on Replen?' is selected

When this option is selected, the system creates replenishment tasks based purely on current stock levels, without considering incoming orders.

The system monitors your pick face stock quantity. When it drops below the Replenish Min level, DeltaWMS automatically creates a task to replenish up to the Replenish Max level.

Example:

Your product has these replenishment levels:

  • Replenish Min: 10

  • Replenish Max: 60

When stock drops below 10 units, the system creates a replenishment task for enough stock to bring the level up to 60 units (if that quantity is available in reserve). The system ignores any incoming orders when calculating this replenishment quantity.

When 'Ignore Order Quantities on Replen?' is not selected

When this option is not selected, the system considers incoming orders and creates replenishment tasks proactively before stock physically drops below minimum levels.

The system monitors orders moving into pick status and calculates the impact on pick face stock levels. When it determines that incoming orders will take stock below the Replenish Min level, it automatically creates a replenishment task in preparation.

Example 1: Single order

Your product has these replenishment levels:

  • Replenish Min: 10

  • Replenish Max: 60

  • Current pick face stock: 15 units

An order comes in for 7 units. The system calculates that this will take the pick face level down to 8 units, which is below the minimum of 10.

DeltaWMS immediately creates a replenishment task for 52 units (if available), bringing the total back up to 60 units. The system doesn't wait for the order to physically remove stock from the pick face.

Example 2: Multiple orders

Your product has these settings:

  • Replenish Min: 10

  • Replenish Max: 60

  • Current pick face stock: 60 units

Two orders come in: one for 20 units and another for 35 units. The system calculates that these orders will reduce stock to 5 units.

DeltaWMS immediately creates a replenishment task for 55 units (if available) to bring the level back up to 60 units, without waiting for the orders to physically take stock out of the pick face.

Setting replenishment levels

You configure replenishment levels in the Product Maintenance screen:

  1. Open Product Maintenance.

  2. Go to Location Details.

  3. Select the Replenish section.

  4. Set your Replenish Min and Replenish Max values.

πŸ“ŒNote: All automatic replenishment task creation depends on the numbers you set in the Products Replenish levels section.
