Overview
You can set orders to automatically backorder by default. This means when orders are short picked, the system creates a new order for the remaining stock. The backorder option is configured per account in the Order Type settings.
Set the default backorder option
To set orders to backorder by default, follow these steps:
Click Setup, then click Maintenance Account.
Click Order Type in the bottom right of the screen, then click the magnifying glass.
Click STDGO, then click OK.
Select the Back Order checkbox.
Click OK, then click OK on the main screen to save your changes.
The backorder option is now set as default for this account.
