Overview

You can configure DeltaWMS to automatically prompt RF users to verify stock quantities when levels fall below amounts you define. This feature, called Count Threshold or Perpetual Inventory (PI) checks, helps maintain accurate stock records.

Set up count threshold

To configure count threshold for a location, follow these steps:

  1. Open the location by double-clicking it or right-clicking and selecting Maintain locations.

  2. Click the Location tab.

  3. In the Count Threshold field, enter the stock level at which you want PI checks to activate.

  4. Click Save.

When an RF user picks stock from this location and the stock level falls below your defined threshold, the system automatically prompts them to verify the actual stock quantity.

Example: If you set the Count Threshold to 10, the RF user will be prompted to perform a PI check when the stock level drops below 10 units.

Configure count interval

The Count Interval option sets the frequency of count checks in days. If you set this to 7 and a count is performed today, the system won't prompt for another count for one week.

Set a one-off count date

You can use the Next Count Due field to schedule a one-off count. Enter a specific date, and the RF user will be prompted to check stock the next time they access that location after that date.

πŸ“ŒNote: The Last count date field displays when a count was last performed for that location.

Test before implementing

Before applying count threshold settings across your warehouse, we recommend testing the process first.

Test on your test database

To test on your test database, follow these steps:

  1. Open the DeltaWMS login screen.

  2. Change the database selection to your test database.

  3. Configure and test your count threshold settings.

Test on RF guns

To test on RF guns, follow these steps:

  1. Open the RF gun login screen.

  2. Scroll right to select the Test database instead of the live database.

  3. Test the count threshold process on the RF guns.

This allows you to verify the process works as expected before implementing it in your live environment.
