Overview
When stock has been received but not yet put away via RF guns, it remains in 'receive' (RCV) status and cannot be used. You can put this stock away using the front-end application to make it available for use. This article explains how to assign received stock to specific warehouse locations.
Put away stock in a specific location
Before you begin, ensure the stock has been received and has a status of received (RCV).
On the Home tab, click Confirm Goods Putaway.
In the Goods in Type dropdown, select either GI for Goods in or RT for a return that matches this receipt.
In the Goods in number field, type the goods in number.
The goods in details appear.
On the Product tab, select a stock line.
To the right of the line, click L (location).
In the Location Title field, type the location code where this stock is to go.
Click OK.
Repeat steps 4 to 7 for each stock line you need to put in a specific location.
On the main screen, click OK to book the goods into those locations.
📌Note: You can use this method if you didn't put away goods in receipts via the RF gun, or if the putaway tasks for this receipt have been deleted.
