Overview

You can manage all RF user settings, permissions, and task priorities through RDT User Maintenance in DeltaWMS. This article explains how to configure user accounts and set up their access levels for warehouse operations.

πŸ“ŒNote: You'll need appropriate permissions to access User Maintenance in DeltaWMS.

Open RDT User Maintenance

Before you begin configuring RF users, you'll need to open the maintenance screen.

  1. In DeltaWMS, click the User Maintenance tab.

  2. Click RDT User Maintenance.

The screen opens with blank fields ready for you to enter user details.

Configure user details

You can set up basic user information and login credentials in the user details screen.

  1. In the User Code field, type the code the RF user will enter to log on.

  2. In the User Name field, type the username that will appear on reports. πŸ“Œ Note: The username doesn't have to match the user code.

  3. In the Password field, type the user's password for logging on.

  4. In the Confirm field, type the same password to confirm.

  5. In the Site Code field, type the default site that will populate on the login screen.

    • Note: Users can override this site code if the Site Fixed Flag isn't ticked.

  6. In the Account Code field, type the default account that will populate when the user performs tasks.

πŸ“ŒNote: Users can override this account code if the Account Fixed Flag isn't ticked.

Set user permissions

You can control which warehouse tasks and operations each RF user can perform.

Task permissions

Select the checkboxes to enable the following permissions:

  • Full Pallets – Whether the user can perform full pallet tasks.

  • Part Pallets – Whether the user can perform part pallet tasks.

  • Load User Only – Whether the user can only perform loading tasks.

Advanced permissions

Select the checkboxes to enable the following advanced permissions:

  • Re-Assign Serials – Whether the user can re-assign serials.

  • Allow Blind Receive – Whether the user can complete receipts for which there's no pre-receipt.

  • Allow Ad-Hoc Tasks – Whether the user can perform tasks without them first being created in DeltaWMS.

  • Allow Short Picks – Whether the user can perform short picks.

  • Override Transfers – Whether the user can change the destination of a transfer.

  • Override Intake Mismatch – Whether the user can receive or not receive stock advised by a pre-receipt.

Configure task priorities

You can set which tasks a user will be sent to when selecting 'Next Task' on the RF device. Tasks with lower priority numbers are dealt with first.

For example: If pick priority is 1 and receive is 2, a user will be sent to the picking task first when they select next task.

To configure task priorities:

  1. Click Maintain RDT Priorities.

  2. Assign priority numbers to each task type, with 1 being the highest priority.

  3. Click Save.

Set truck types

You can limit which types of trucks the user can operate.

  1. Click the Truck Types tab.

  2. Select the truck types the user can use.

  3. Click Save.

Assign working areas

You can restrict users to work in specific areas within the warehouse.

  1. Click the Areas tab.

  2. Select the areas where the user can work.

  3. Click Save.

πŸ“ŒNote: If you don't assign any areas, the user can work in all warehouse areas.

Set user status

You can activate or deactivate RF user accounts.

  1. Click the Status tab.

  2. Select either Active or Inactive.

  3. Click Save.

Configure printers

You can assign a specific label and report printers for each RF user.

  1. Click the Printers tab.

  2. In the Label Printer field, select the printer for labels.

  3. In the Report Printer field, select the printer for reports.

  4. Click Save.

πŸ“ŒNote: If you leave these fields blank, the user will inherit the printer details from the server.
