Overview:

A customer wants to send orders through that have SKUs that they don't stock yet, but wish us to pick the remainder of the order. How does this work in your system? Do we get 2 dispatch notes? will this affect the back-end tasks written for ParcelForce/ Pick export?

You need to enable back orders on the order type. This will create a pick for the stock you have and create a back order for the remaining. This will be another order on Delta so when you do process it there will be another despatch note and pick export. Back orders will only be turned on per account. In order to enable back orders

  1. Log on to DeltaWMS

  2. Click on the Set Up Tab

  3. Click on the Maintain Accounts

  4. Select the Account by either clicking on the magnifying glass or typing in the Account Code

  5. In the bottom right hand corner there is an Order Types button.

  6. Click on the button

  7. Select the order types you would like to enable back orders for by selecting the order type code and then clicking then ticking the back order box

  8. Click OK to Save

Part Picking on the the RF scanners:

Log on the picking tasks, it will state Part Pick at the top.

  1. It will ask for a Start Location.

  2. Then a To Pallet (if this is not going on to another pallet, just enter NONE).

  3. Select the Product Code.

  4. Enter in the Quantity.

  5. Then the To Location.

  6. Press Next to complete that task.

For serialised stock picking
After scanning the Product Code:
This will then go on to a different screen, this will say how many serial numbers it requires, for example 1 / 10, meaning scan in the 1st Serial number, this will then go to the next one and will now show 2/10. In this example they will need to scan in 10 serials numbers.
