Overview

You can place orders on hold at any point during the picking process. When you do this, the system marks the order as on hold and prevents dispatch until you release it. If the order has outstanding picking tasks, you'll need to suspend them separately. Follow these steps to place an order on hold and suspend its picking tasks.

Place an order on hold

When you place an order on hold, the system prevents dispatch but doesn't automatically suspend active picking tasks.

Suspend picking tasks for the order

After placing an order on hold, suspend any outstanding picking tasks to prevent operators from accessing them.

  1. Select Picking from the Task Type list to show only picking tasks.

  2. In the white field under TransactionNo., type the order number to filter the tasks.

  3. Select one of the tasks for the order.

  4. Click the Suspend button at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Select a reason from the list.

  6. Select the Apply to all tasks for this order checkbox.

  7. Click OK.

What happens next

All picking tasks for the order are now suspended. Operators cannot access these tasks until you remove the suspension and release the order from hold.

πŸ“ŒNote: The order remains on hold and cannot be dispatched until you manually release it.
