Overview

The pickface system is designed to bypass any other rules and tell the system to always pick from that particular location, no matter what.

If you want to set a pickface up, you can achieve this by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Warehouse map.

  2. Right-click the location you want as a pickface

  3. Select Create Area

  4. Select Site Code

  5. Area Code - Add new or search existing one from magnifying glass button, Area Code would normally match the location code.

    To create new Area code

    1. Press the tab key and you will be prompted to Create Area, select Yes

    2. Add Description

    3. Add Area type Code - Pick Face

    4. Under Location Tab - The location you selected will be shown as default else add Start Location, End Location, Direction (one location code per pick face)

    5. Click OK

  1. Double-click the location in question

  2. Under rules, change the following;

  3. MaxPallets - 0 (zero means unlimited amount of pallets)

  4. MaxItems - 0 (zero means unlimited amount of items)

  5. Max Weight - 9999.00000

  6. Max Height - 9999.00

  7. Max Cube - 9999.00

  8. Under Location tab, change the following;

  9. Movement Type - Part Pallet (This is the recommended setting)

  1. Select Setup

  2. Click Product Details

  3. Maintain Products

  4. Open the product which needs this pickface assigned

  5. Select Location Details

  6. Select Pickface in the middle pane

  7. Click the magnifying glass and choose the pickface area created

  8. Under the Replenish

  9. Enter a value for ReplenMin and ReplenMax (If this is left as zero for both, then stock will be replenished when there is demand for stock i.e., outstanding orders and in picking status)

Once the setup is completed, the Replenishment transfer will be created and can be completed through the front-end. If you want users to do this through the RF, then you will need to enable the RF Replenish tasks under RDT Control> Maintain Task Parameters.
