Overview

Object variable or With block variable not set error normally means there is some sort of connection or network issue with the server.

What can I do to prevent the error from occurring?

Please leave this for a few minutes and try again.

If this issue persists, please ask your IT to check the firewall/internet security settings and Windows updates on your servers.

Alternatively, if in the event that they have installed Delta, it could be that some of the settings haven't taken, so they may need to be adjusted. Follow these steps below:

  1. Go into Component Services

  2. Open Computers and right-click My Computer

  3. Click on the Tab COM Security and go through both Edit Default to ensure that all users have access to everything

  4. Within Component Services, click Computer

  5. Click Distributed Transaction Coordinator

  6. Right-click on Local DTC and tick all properties as well as selecting "No Authentication Required" then click ok.

  7. Right-click on My Computer, select Properties and enter 600 within the Transaction Timeout Field.

  8. Click Apply.

Those are the basic ones you need to check first to ensure that the users have access to everything. After that, you may need to check that the ODBC Link is fine.
