Set up batches for order picks

Steps to configure batch tracking on products and add batch details when creating picks in DeltaWMS.

Overview

You can ensure the correct batches appear on your order picks by configuring batch tracking on your products and entering batch details when creating picks. This article guides you through both processes.

⚠️Important: If you haven't configured batches before, test these steps on your test database first to verify everything works as expected before applying changes to your live database.


Configure batch tracking on products

Before you can add batch details to picks, you need to enable batch tracking on your products.

  1. Click Product Details, then click Maintain Products.

  2. Type the product code in the Product Code field, then press Tab.

  3. Click Stock Attributes in the left-hand menu.

  4. Select the Batch checkbox.

  5. Click Apply, then click OK.


Add batch details to picks

Once batch tracking is configured, you can add batch details when creating picks for orders.

  1. Click the Home tab.

  2. Click Enter Picking Details.

  3. Complete all mandatory fields (shown with yellow boxes).

  4. Click the Products tab.

  5. Click the + button in the top right.

  6. Enter the product code and batch details.

  7. Click Apply, then click OK.
