Overview
If you find that you are unable to email with hosted DeltaWMS, wanting to know what is needed in order to use the email function, or you are seeing an error ActiveX component cannot create object. This article will explain what you need and what it involves.
What do I need to do?
In order to use the email function in DeltaWMS, SMTP server details need to be configured for this to be successful.
These are configured under Warehouse Parameters - Advanced Email but will require a few connection details from the SMTP server, such as;
Server
Port
Authentication Type (None, Basic or NTLM)
Username
Password
Sender's email
SSL used (True or False)
Once this information is confirmed, the details can be configured in DeltaWMS.
