Overview

You can mark products as on stop or obsolete to warn users about product status. These flags display warning messages during stock movements but don't prevent transactions. This article explains how to set these statuses and what they mean for daily operations.

Set a product as on stop or obsolete

To set a product as on stop or obsolete, follow the steps below:

  1. In Product Details, click Maintain Product.

  2. Open the product.

  3. On the Home tab, select the Stop checkbox.

  4. Click the Re-Ordering tab, then select the Obsolete checkbox.

  5. Click OK to save your changes.

How on stop and obsolete warnings work

The on-stop and obsolete options provide warnings to users about product status. They don't prevent stock movements or imports.

When a user attempts to book stock in or pick stock that's marked as on stop or obsolete, they'll see a warning message. The user can click OK to continue with the transaction.

πŸ“ŒNote: Pre-receipt and order imports aren't prevented by these settings. The system will import them as normal, and users will see warnings only when they interact with the stock directly.
