You may need to restart the TaskCentre services if tasks have stopped running or users can't log in.
TaskCentre uses two Windows services: Access TaskCentre Service (the main service) and Access TaskCentre Schedule Agent (which allows tasks to run on a schedule). Follow these steps to start them:
Log in to the server running TaskCentre.
Open Control Panel, then open Administrative Tools.
From within Administrative Tools, double-click Services.
Find the service named Access TaskCentre Service.
Right-click the service and select Start. If it is greyed out, the service is already running.
A progress bar will appear and close automatically when the service is running. 'Running' will show in the status column.
Repeat steps 4 to 6 for the Access TaskCentre Schedule Agent service.
If you need to restart the services regularly, set them to start automatically following these steps:
Log in to the server running TaskCentre.
Open Control Panel, then open Administrative Tools.
From within Administrative Tools, double-click Services.
Find the service named Access TaskCentre Service.
Right-click the service and select Properties.
Change the Startup Type to Automatic.
Click OK to save the changes.
Repeat steps 4 to 7 for the Access TaskCentre Schedule Agent service.
