Overview

You can set up a Minimum Rental Charge to ensure customers reach a minimum weekly rental amount. If their pallet stock generates charges below this threshold, Delta automatically adds an adjustment charge to meet the minimum. This article explains how to configure this feature in the account settings.

Set up a Minimum Rental Charge

Before you begin, you'll need to open the relevant account in Delta.

  1. Open the account, then click Invoicing.

  2. Click Miscellaneous.

  3. Enter an amount in the Minimum Rental Charge field.

  4. Click OK.

How the Minimum Rental Charge works

When Delta generates charges, it calculates the total cost for all pallets the customer has in stock. If this total falls below the Minimum Rental Charge you've set, Delta automatically creates a 'Minimum adjustment charge' to meet the minimum threshold.

Example:

If you set the Minimum Rental Charge to £500 and the customer's stock only generates £100 in charges, Delta identifies a £400 shortfall. It then creates a Minimum adjustment charge of £400, bringing the total weekly rental charges to £500.
